Photographing your bike for a custom Frame bag.

A carefully taken image of your bike will aid greatly in getting an accurately fitting frame bag.

The photo should be taken from the drive side of the bike. From a distance of 15-20 feet. The camera should also be perpendicular to the center of the front triangle.

Without blocking any of the cable guides, bottle cage bosses, etc. Place a ruler or tape measure flat against the frame (if you do not have a ruler handy, the bottle mount bolts can be used for scale. leave the bolts so the threads are showing in the photo).

Looking through your camera, you should see the entire bike unobstructed. The fork legs should appear as one. Same for the seat and chain stays. This means there will be no distortion in the final image.

Tips:

Set the Camera resolution to its highest setting, while holding steady take the photo.

Overcast or conditions with even lighting work the best.

Use a background that is simple and from from distracting elements (think solid colored wall).

If using a traditional camera use a normal focal length (I.e. 50-80)

Avoid using a wide angle hence standing 15-20 feet away.
